I can't shout enough about the work @maggiescentre

I can't shout enough about the work @maggiescentres do, it’s the most amazing place for anyone living through a cancer experience, offering warmth, solace, help and company. For free.

It’s where I was lucky enough to secure my first doctoral placement and saw my first ever client as a trainee counselling psychologist (years ago!). I went into psychological cancer care because it’s important yet undervalued. I'd been lucky to have help managing my own cancer experience and know how crucial it can be to recovering well.

So thank you Maggie's and thank you to all the clients who I saw during my time here, sending you all lots of love.

I filmed this a little while ago when we were having bright blue January mornings for a change! Anyone else been missing those?

Exposing ourselves to natural light first thing in the morning can have huge benefits on our wellbeing and even help boost our performance throughout the day.

Emails, WhatsApps and all the other distractions can come right at us first thing in the morning and raise our cortisol sky high. So getting out into the daylight - moving before attending to them - can really make a difference (having a dog is lovely but not essential!)
