The paperback edition of my first book, Rise: Surviving and Thriving After Trauma, will be available in the shops and online from 29 December 2016.
You can pre-order it from Amazon now for only £8.99.
Rise is a first-aid kit for getting through tough times. In it I explore the science of resilience and growth after trauma by getting advice from experts. I also learn from those who have emerged from horrific experiences, feeling changed yet stronger, with a new perspective on their life, their relationships and their work.
It also contains my own story of surviving breast cancer, with candid and unflinching honesty.
The book is designed to help others deal with all manner of adversity, including physical or mental ill health, loss of a loved one, abuse and post-traumatic stress.

Woman & Home Magazine, January 2017
I talk about some of the ways it’s possible to control fear and anxiety in articles published in the January 2017 issues of Woman & Home Magazine and Prima Magazine – currently on the shelves.
In Woman & Home I give my opinion about how to manage living with uncertainty, and some practical tips on making sure fear doesn’t dominate your life.
You can read the full article on WomanAndHome.com.
In Prima I talk about new year’s resolutions and how to look after your mental health. My 2017 resolutions are “Be mindful. Be grateful. Be kind. Accept, learn and grow”.
